Steps to Become a GPU Host
Eligibility Check
Confirm that your GPUs meet the performance requirements for handling AI workloads on the Nimble platform. Please note that SSH permissions to your GPU hardware are required to ensure proper management and integration.
Software Specifications
- Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS:
- Basic Linux proficiency.
- Ability to remotely connect via SSH.
- Operating system: Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS (use the same file as 22.04, but select HWE during install to get Kernel 6.5.0-15, or any more recent production version).
- BIOS:
- For non-VM systems, ensure IOMMU is disabled in the BIOS.
- Update the server BIOS to the latest stable version if facing compatibility issues.
- Drivers:
- Nvidia drivers 550.54.15 (or any more recent production version).
- CUDA 12.4 (or any more recent production version).
- Nvidia Persistence should be activated for GPUs of 48 GB or more.
Note: Currently, Nimble supports NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 and NVIDIA H100 GPUs only. Ensure your hardware matches these specifications to proceed.

Platform Fees
Nimble applies a 15% fee for using the platform, which includes operational and user support costs.
Pricing Flexibility
As a GPU host, you can set your own minimum price for the use of your hardware. Pricing may vary based on network demand and GPU availability, with adjustments made based on market conditions.
Security and Verification
To ensure trust within the network, all hosts must complete a verification process to protect the community.

You’ll have access to a detailed dashboard to track the performance of your GPUs, manage AI tasks, and optimize resource allocation.

While specific GPU utilization data is not available to the public, we provide detailed insights to hosts about hardware performance and factors affecting revenue through GPU dashboards.
